A beautiful hand-built lidded jar featuring the Rosmarinium pattern. 

The jar was fired in a pit firing, the most ancient technique to fire pottery. The process involves wrapping pieces in sulfates and salt and letting fire and smoke impart their unique colors on the work. No effect can be reproduced twice. 

Due to the nature of the firing and the low temperatures reached, these pieces are not functional. They should not be used for drinking or eating. 

The jar measures around 7,5cm in diameter and is 9cm tall (including lid). 

The Rosmarinium pattern is inspired by the works of baroque Italian artist Giovanna Garzoni, to whom this entire collection is dedicated.
